Request account deletion
You can ask for your Bokolo Cash account and associated personal data to be deleted, even if you no longer have the app.
Bokolo Cash, the Digital Solomon Islands Dollar wallet, is published by CBSI through Bokolo Hub. Its Android package is com.soramitsu.bokolocash.
Request without the app
Email info@cbsi.com.sb with the subject Bokolo Cash account deletion request. Include your selected FI and one contact method already registered with the account. You can also use your FI’s established customer-support channel.
This opens your email app. Review and send the message yourself. If it does not open, copy the address and subject above.
Never email a private key, recovery phrase, PIN, password, one-time code or identity-document image. The handling FI provides a secure ownership-verification process when needed.
Request in the app
In the Android app, open More → Privacy & account data → Request account deletion. Review the consequences and submit the request to your selected FI. Keep the returned request reference. A request receipt means the request was accepted; it does not mean deletion is finished.
On iPhone, use the email request above or your FI’s customer-support channel.
What happens next
- We acknowledge and verify. The selected FI’s consumer-protection/compliance team owns the request. CBSI routes requests received through its contact channel and handles escalations. We aim to acknowledge within two business days.
- We resolve funds and pending payments with you. You can submit a request while funds remain. We explain how to withdraw or transfer them through the normal authorized flow and resolve pending or offline payment obligations. Requesting deletion does not transfer funds automatically.
- We close access and remove eligible data. After the necessary checks, we revoke access and remove non-retained account, device, notification and recovery data. Provider removal and backup expiry are tracked separately.
- We give you a completion response. It identifies what was removed, which records remain, why and for how long, and any remaining provider or user-controlled-backup action. Our target is 30 calendar days after ownership verification; we explain delays and the next review date.
What is deleted and what remains
Live access credentials, device/push bindings, optional recovery material and profile/preferences that are not required records are removed at verified closure. Required financial, KYC and audit records remain restricted to compliance, legal, security or dispute purposes.
- Payment records: the later of ten years after first receipt/creation or six years after the transaction completed.
- KYC relationship records: the later of ten years after first receipt/creation or seven years after relationship closure.
- Regulatory records and necessary identity links: their applicable retention period, extended only where a lawful requirement or specific hold applies.
- Non-retained operational backups: up to 90 days for CBSI/FI-managed backups. Google documents up to 180 days after deletion of a Firebase installation ID. The completion response distinguishes accepted provider removal from final expiry.
Historical ledger transactions, another person’s payment records and your separate Google/Apple account are not erased by this request. If a user-controlled backup needs an action from you, we explain it. A legal hold can delay removal of the specific records it covers.
Keep recovery information until closure is confirmed
Uninstalling, logging out, resetting the device or deleting a local backup does not itself close the server-side account. Preserve what you need to resolve pending funds. The app will identify when verified closure allows local cleanup; an accepted request or a closed support case alone is not that confirmation.
